Details

The Curlew Rowing Club is thought to be the oldest on the tideway. The Greenwich Power Station was built in stages between 1902 and 1910 to power London's trams and Underground trains. Central to this image is the coaling pier with it's 16 cast iron doric style columns. Author Cecil Day Lewis used the pier as the site of a murder when writing mystery novels under the pen-name Nicholas Blake.
